3, table tennis: Table tennis weight 2.7 grams, diameter 40 mm. Before February 2000, it was a 38mm ball. On February 23, 2000, the ITTF Special General Assembly and Congress in Kuala Lumpur officially adopted the reform plan to replace the 38 mm "small ball" with the 40 mm diameter "big ball", and stipulated that the official use of the "big ball" from October 1, 2000. On July 1, 2014, the International Table Tennis Federation began to use 40+ new materials. The old celluloid ping-pong balls were toxic and flammable. The new table tennis material is non-flammable and easy to store and transport. Compared with the previous celluloid ping-pong balls, the diameter of the 40+ ping-pong balls is adjusted from 39.50-40.50 mm to 40.00-40.60 mm, which is slightly larger than the traditional ping-pong balls, so it is called 40+. According to the general reflection of the athletes, this 40+ new material ping-pong ball is softer than the original ball, so it is more difficult to play, sports activities equipment and the ball speed is slower and the rotation is weaker.

4. Venue: The court area of table tennis competition should be no less than 14 meters long, 7 meters wide and 4 meters high. It shall be enclosed by the same dark coloured barrier of 0.75 m high and separated from the adjacent competition area and spectators. The playing area of each table in the official competition area with high specifications is 8 meters ×16 meters. The court is equipped with a table, a net, a ball, a backstop, a referee's table, a referee's chair, a scorer, etc. At least 2 electronic scoreboards should be used for each table, and 4 for the final. The electronic scoreboard is placed behind the two sides of the table tennis competition or the four corners, and the card has the name of the athlete, the country or region to which he belongs, the time, the score of each inning, etc., so that the audience can clearly see the score on the display screen in the stand. There is also a large electronic display in the stadium that all spectators can see clearly, which can display information about all the tables at the same time. When the final is played or when only one table is used, the referee uses a microphone for the convenience of the whole audience.

5. Lighting

In order to ensure the clarity of the television broadcast images, the lighting is required to be 1500 ~ 2500 lux, and the lighting of all tables is the same. If a temporary light source needs to be added for reasons such as television broadcasting, the Angle of the light source from above the ceiling should be greater than 75 degrees. The lighting degree of other places in the competition area shall not be less than 1/2 of the lighting degree of the competition table, and the light source shall not be less than 5 meters from the ground. The surrounding area of the field should generally be dark in color, and the lighting level of the spectators should be significantly lower than the lighting level of the competition area, and dazzling light sources and natural light from unshielded Windows should be avoided.
